Import from Instapaper ​

With the Instapaper integration, you can import your Instapaper highlights to Paperhub. This guide will show you how to set up and use the Instapaper integration in Paperhub.

Prerequisites ​

  • A Paperhub account
  • An Instapaper account

Connect Instapaper ​

  1. Open the Sync Page in Paperhub.

  2. Click on "Add Integration" and click on "Add" for Instapaper.

  1. A dialog will appear to prompt you to sign in to your Instapaper account.

We never store your Instapaper password. Our integrations use the official Instapaper API to connect to your account and we only store the returned Instapaper access token in an encrypted form.

Instapaper currently does not fully implement the OAuth2 standard. Therefore, we have to call the Instapaper API in a legacy way with your username and password in order to get the access token. We do not store your password and only store the access token in an encrypted form.

  1. Verfiy that the Instapaper integration has been added to your account.

Sync from Instapaper ​

  1. Open the Sync Page in Paperhub.

  2. Click on "Sync Now" for Instapaper.

  1. The sync will run in the background.

  2. Open your Paperhub library to see the imported highlights.
